No one was hurt, but West Grey Police are appealing for tips following an armed robbery at a financial institution in Durham.
Police officers were called to the Northern Credit Union branch on Queen Street South in Durham around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, for a report of an armed robbery.
West Grey Police say preliminary investigation revealed four male suspects, all dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks, exited a black sport utility vehicle before entering the building.
Once inside, police say one suspect brandished a machete. Another was seen with a handgun.
The suspects demanded and obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle they arrived in.
The suspect vehicle was seen heading south from the area.
No injuries were reported.
