Meaford is making a zoning amendment to allow for a proposed subdivision.
Council approved the amendment to the proposed Loon Call Subdivision as well as support the revision of the draft plan during a meeting on Monday.
This comes after the Loon Call Subdivision received draft plan approval in 2021 for a phased subdivision consisting of 201 units, including 32 single-detached, 50 semi-detached, and 119 townhomes.
The applicant has since submitted a revision of the draft plan to Grey County to convert 23 of the proposed single-detached units into 36 townhouse lots, increasing the overall units from 201 to 214.
The proposed subdivision is located north of Highway 26 on about 34 acres of land.
Meaford Planner Helena Fascinato says in a report, “Staff have no concerns and are in support of the redlined revision to the draft plan of subdivision approval.”
