Big news for the new hotel set to be built at Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach; the brand has been announced – it will be a premium Marriott Hotel.
It’s a 45 million dollar project for iconic Beach Drive – with Sunray Group as the town’s partner in the endeavour.
It will include shops, cafes, restaurants and more. Mayor Brian Smith says it will bring the community to year-round destination status. He also noted the local jobs created with higher value tourism and multi-day visits to Wasaga Beach will in turn support small businesses.
