Three young people are facing charges following an armed robbery in Alliston.
Just after 5 o’clock on Friday afternoon, Nottawasaga OPP were called to a retail location on Young Street in New Tecumseth after reports of a robbery by five individuals brandishing a firearm.
Nobody was injured, and the suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived.
Officers were able to get descriptions of the suspects, as well as the vehicle they were using. During the robbery, $30,000 worth of electronics were taken, as well as a Louis Vuitton purse that belonged to an employee.
Police were able to find three of the suspects: an 18-year-old from Brampton, a 15-year-old from Brampton, and a 17-year-old from Mississauga. All three are facing numerous charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
All three were held for a bail hearing.
