Dinosaurs are making their way to the Grey Roots Museum and Archives this weekend for a special exhibit.
Today, the Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas exhibition shows what living, breathing dinosaurs were like.
The exhibit gives attendees the chance to see how the use of fossil finds, computer simulations and models updates how scientists understand dinosaurs.
Attendees can explore new theories about dinosaurs including what they looked like, how they behaved and how they moved, as well as the range of tools used by scientists.
Grey Roots Museum and Archives Manager Jill Paterson says they are thrilled to welcome dinosaurs back to the museum.
“This exhibit is all about sparking curiosity and wonder, and we can’t wait to see the museum buzzing with schools groups, tourists, and local families exploring together,” says Paterson.
For the opening day celebrations, there is a meet the expert session with Paleontologist Tim Jeffries from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as a screening of Disney’s “Dinosaur” at 2 p.m.
The exhibit is running until Sept. 20, with more details on the museum website here.
