A 47 year old man faces assault charges after he turned himself in to Saugeen Shores Police.
Police say in a media release, on Sunday, (May 11) a man arrived at the police station in Port Elgin to report he had just assaulted another male in Saugeen Shores. He was arrested for assault at that time.
Then, police say they received a call from a male who said he was the victim of the assault.
Officers responded to a residence, where they say they found the victim with significant injuries that required medical attention.
As a result, the 47-year-old male who reported to the station has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police say “Both males were known to each other and there is no concern for public safety.”
