South Bruce OPP say an Arran-Elderslie man is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop.
On May 9 around 12:16 p.m., an officer stopped to check a vehicle along Bruce Road 10 in Arran-Elderslie.
Police say the officer determined the driver was in contradiction to a licence status. The driver then fled the scene on foot but was arrested shortly afterwards.
Additionally, police say the officer detected signs of impairment and the driver was transported for further testing.
As a result, the 33-year-old accused was charged with impaired driving, resisting and obstructing a peace officer, failing to comply with a release order, driving while under suspension, and driving with an unsealed container of liquor.
They are set to appear in court in Walkerton next month.
