Orillia OPP were called to a residence on Carlton Street after neighbours reported a strong smell coming from a home.
Yesterday (wed) afternoon around 1pm officers observed an extensive amount of pet food outside the home and once they gained entry they requested Orillia Fire to attend with Hazmat suits. After further investigation Animal Welfare was contacted to assist with the removal of several animals in distress and in need of medical attention.
The Investigation is ongoing with the assistance from the Animal Welfare Services.
