A partnership between two Simcoe County hospitals is aimed at reducing surgical backlogs at RVH.
Georgian Bay General Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital struck a deal to better utilize the available capacity at GBGH…enabling Simcoe County residents access to needed surgery sooner.
It’s already working – between August of last year and February of this year – RVH surgeons performed 145 surgeries at GBGH for patients who had been waiting extended periods for care – including 45 paediatric cases.
