Hanover Police will be working through the summer to address aggressive driving and loud mufflers.
From May 12th until September 12th, Hanover Police Service will be running their Project Noisemaker traffic initiative after community complaints.
Chief Chris Knoll said in a release that ensuring local roads are safe is a fundamental priority of the service, and if your vehicle is rattling windows or disturbing others, you can expect to be stopped.
Even though Project Noisemaker will wrap up in September, noise laws will continue to be enforced by Hanover Police.
Vehicle owners are encouraged to fix any modified exhaust systems and stop using devices that increase noise levels.
Drivers found violating the law will be ticketed $110 for Highway Traffic Act offences such as Improper Muffler and Unnecessary Noise. They could also lead to a court date for repeat offenders.
