The Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate in relation to an incident that took place in Collingwood yesterday.
OPP arrested a male for breaching a conditional sentence order – he was taken to the detachment and held in the cells for a bail hearing.
Shortly after 6pm the man went into medical distress and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police say they will not be able to provide further information pending this investigation.
