There will be over 400 students competing for almost $1 million in awards and scholarships.
“The six students that are competing as part of Team Bluewater have project topics of various kinds. One student is focusing around the power of colostrum which found in milk, specifically she is focusing on dairy cattle milk. To finding a solution to leftover wool that can not be used as part of fabrics,” says Weber.
The six students taking part in the competition include:
-Tristian Lush of Georgian Bay Community School

-Chayle Oatt of St. Mary’s High School
-Charlotte Woodhouse of St. Mary’s High School
-Jade Lowry of Kincardine District High School
“These students are outstanding individuals and their problem solving skills are also quite outstanding. The students that were selected were able to present their projects numerous times to a team of judges for both special awards and as well as based on their project presentation,” says Weber.
She adds these students have also come up with unique topics to address every day problems.
“I am very confident that they will do well. The fact that they were selected to represent our area is probably the biggest accomplishment as they were able to compete quite well among the finalists at our fair,” says Weber.
