2) Home ownership continues to be inaccessible for many, especially younger Canadians. What actions can the federal government take to help?
– Doubling the annual home construction rate to 500,000 unit a year
– To support first time home buyers a Liberal government will eliminate the GST on new homes valued at 1 million dollars or less.
– Increase the supply of affordable, co-operative and non-profit rental housing units to enable renters to save more for a down payment.
3) How would you approach the current trade tensions between Canada and the United States?
– Utilize counter tariffs
– Support on-going diplomatic efforts and trade negotiations
– Seek new trade opportunities with other more reliable countries
– Work with provinces to eliminate interprovincial trade barriers, building one Canadian economy
4) How can we strengthen the Canadian economy?
– Increase foreign and domestic trade
– Building up the economy by investing in green technology
– Invest in skilled trades and apprenticeships creating jobs in the construction sector and spin off industries.
– Supporting nation building projects like an energy corridor, and increased rail capacity.
5) What needs to change with Canada’s criminal justice system?
– Increase funding to hire more prosecuting attorneys.
– Toughen the Criminal Code and make bail laws stricter for violent and repeat offenders
– Crack down on intimate partner violence, hate crimes, and attack on places of worship.
– Aggressively pursue action to protect children from online crimes

– I am in favour of reducing federal government spending, improving efficiency and eliminating waste
– I support reducing government spending as long as it does not impact important individual and family social benefits.

– I support investing in new and green technology
– Support the transition of Canada’s auto industry to electric vehicle
8) The current government banned a number of firearms over its last two terms with mixed reaction from Canadians. Would you keep or expand the gun ban, or remove it?
