Carter George is heading to the American Hockey League.
The Owen Sound Attack goaltender has been reassigned to the Los Angeles Kings AHL-affiliate Ontario Reign. He will wear No. 70.
George, 18, posted a .909 save percentage and 3.35 goals against average in 47 appearances for the Attack during the 2024-25 Ontario Hockey League season. His stellar play over the final two months of the regular season helped the Attack clinch a postseason berth. They were swept in the first round by the No. 1 seed in the OHL Western Conference London Knights.
A Thunder Bay native, George, was a second-round pick of the LA Kings at the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
He could make his pro debut as soon as this weekend, when the Reign play back-to-back road games Friday and Saturday against San Jose Barracuda.
