Pair stranded on tractor on Fern Hurst Gull Road, near Holmesville.
Two people were rescued from floodwaters north of Holmesville.
OPP say they were called to Fern Hurst Glen Road, after receiving a distress call from two residents stranded in rising floodwaters from the nearby Maitland River.
According to police, the pair were on their tractor and suddenly found themselves surrounded by cold, fast-moving water that was rising rapidly.
An inflatable boat was used to bring the pair back to solid ground.
The pair were treated at a local hospital as a precaution and are expected to make a full recovery, police say.
