Bruce County’s economic development manager has earned recognition for his work.
Jeff Loney was named a recipient of the 2025 Economic Development 40 Under 40 Award.
The award is given on a biennial basis, and is hosted by Development Counsellors International (DCI), along with Jorgenson Pace Inc.
“Since joining Bruce County in 2022, Jeff has led major initiatives that have elevated our region’s profile on a North American stage,” Warden Luke Charbonneau said during Thursday’s council meeting. “Jeff has been instrumental in stewarding our economic development strategic plan, ensuring that Bruce County remains a competitive place to work, play, and invest.”
Loney’s work has included efforts to attract the medical isotope supply chain to Bruce County, attraction of agri-food processing businesses, and the recent launch of Energy Transitions Initiative.
Prior to joining Bruce County, he served as the Manager of Economic Development, Marketing and Tourism for the Town of Gravenhurst.
