Grey Bruce OPP are asking you to limit travel today if you can.
They’re reporting blowing snow and whiteout conditions.
They say in a media release, “Officers are responding to multiple crashes and vehicles in ditches, putting first responders, police, fire, EMS, and tow truck drivers in danger.”
Melting earlier this week resulted in water pooling on roads, and some are closed in the area for that reason. Meanwhile, strong winds and blowing snow are reducing visibility around the region significantly.
Saugeen Shores police have reported a number of collisions and stuck vehicles today including a collision between Port Elgin and Southampton on Highway 21.
They say on Facebook, there was a multi-vehicle collision between Chesley and Tara today as well.
Owen Sound Police responded to a collision on 10th Street east today in the area of the Julie MacArthur Regional Rec Centre. It has been cleared.
A Paisley tire and towing company says today wait times for a tow truck are about 2.5 hours while they assist police in helping stuck vehicles.
