Arran-Elderslie says public meetings that were initially postponed due to a winter storm are coming up next week.
Council is inviting community input on how municipal representation should be structured moving forward.
Arran-Elderslie Council wants community input on how municipal representation should be structured.
Right now, it operates under a ward-based system, where council members are elected to represent specific geographic districts (wards).
Council would like to know if residents would prefer an at-large approach to selecting town council members in elections.
A consulting firm called “Clerks on Call” has been contracted to lead the engagement process.
A number of Open Houses that were postponed in February are now scheduled for:
March 4th, 5-7 p.m. at the Paisley Community Centre
March 5th, 3-5 p.m. at the Tara community Centre
March 5th, 6-8 p.m. at the Tara Community Centre
