March 3rd is the date the District of Muskoka is switching over to collecting clear garbage bags in an effort to better divert waste items and keep organics & recyclables out of the landfill.
Officials are hoping to see a strong impact locally – in Orillia, the Clear Bag program has already led to a 40% drop in curbside garbage in just one year.
