West Grey is making a zoning by-law adjustment to allow for the development of a new proposed subdivision in Crawford.
Council approved making the zoning amendment for the proposed subdivision along Mulock Road during a meeting on Feb. 18.
The proposed development would include 34 single detached units, as well as the construction of a new stormwater management pond, parkland, and a new street.
This comes after a public meeting was held in October, where several comments were received from neighbouring property owners.
The comments included concerns around the loss of farmland, negative impacts on local roads as a result of increased traffic, and if the environment could withstand the density of the proposed development.
The front of the proposed subdivision would connect onto Concession 10 NDR and Mulock Road
While Grey County is the decision-making body when it comes to subdivisions, West Grey will be working with the county in crafting the suitable conditions to approve the draft plan of the proposed subdivision.
