Officials say a surge in patient volumes over the past week is due to an increase in acutely ill people. It’s not only increasing wait times in the ER dramatically, it’s holding up scheduled surgeries.
Heading into a long weekend brings the problem sharply in focus as the population balloons.

Additionally there are walk-in clinics in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.
