Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi has been named the Ontario Hockey League’s rookie of the week.
Mbuyi, 16, put up six points over the Attack three-in-three against the Kitchener Rangers, North Bay Battalion and Kingston Frontenacs this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
That offensive performance was headlined by his second hat trick of the season in the Attack 4-3 loss in Kitchener Friday.
The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 OHL Priority selection now leads all OHL rookies in goal scoring with 20 on the season.
