Bruce County Paramedic Services has received $3,500 in donations from two Cargill community groups.
The Cargill Homecoming Committee is providing $3,000, while the Cargill & District Community Fund is adding $500.
The money will be used to purchase stuffed animals that will be given to children treated and transported by Bruce County paramedics.
The stuffed animals will be Hereford cows, like Arran-Elderslie’s “Big Bruce” statue, which has been a part of the community since 1980.
In 2021, Big Bruce was named Ontario’s Greatest Roadside Attraction by TVO’s The Agenda.
