A new Side Gig Program is being launched in Bruce County for aspiring entrepreneurs to create a profitable side business.
Business to Bruce is partnering with the province to launch the program which is designed to provide training, resources, and support to people looking to grow or start a part time business.
The training will come from Fanshawe College and include practical skills and entrepreneurial insights, as well as cover how to build a brand, develop a customer base and manage the administrative side of being an entrepreneur.
Those who participate will also get one-one-one coaching and additional support provided by Business to Bruce.
County Manager of Economic Development Jeffrey Loney says they are pleased to launch the new program to empower people and transform their ideas into a viable business.
“Whether it is launching an online store, starting a service-based business, or monetizing a creative skill, the Side Gig Program will help provide the tools and guidance to make it happen,” says Loney.
There are only 30 spots available and applications will close on Feb. 17. More details on how to apply can be found on the Business to Bruce website here.
