Grey Bruce OPP say two people were killed in a collision near Dundalk yesterday.
Dundalk firefighters, Dufferin County paramedics and OPP officers responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a commercial motor vehicle and a passenger vehicle around 8:40 a.m. Monday morning at the intersection of Grey Road 9 and Southgate Sideroad 71, just west of Dundalk.
Police say a 49-year-old and a 15-year-old, both from Kitchener, died as a result of the collision.
“Additionally, a 19-year-old sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a media release. “The identity of the deceased individuals will not be released out of respect for the family’s privacy.”
Grey Bruce OPP say the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
“We are urging the public to come forward with any information in relation to this matter; including any dash camera footage through the area around the time of the collision,” police say in a statement.
