Orillia OPP have charged a 19-year-old Huntsville woman with impaired driving after a traffic stop on Christmas Eve.
Just after 11:30 that evening, police received a complaint about a vehicle hitting a snowbank, then getting stuck in the ditch on southbound Highway 11 near Memorial Avenue.
Police found the driver still in the vehicle, and immediately started an impaired driving investigation.
The driver was charged with operation while impaired over 80, and impaired driving as a novice driver.
She’s expected in court at a later date, but her licence has been suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle impounded for 7 days.
