A Grey Highlands woman has been found not criminally responsible for the death of a baby.
Nancy Brubacher, then 31, was initially charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault in December 2023, and later charged with first degree murder after Grey Bruce OPP responded to a call regarding an unresponsive infant at a home on South Line B.
An Ontario Superior Court judge ruled on Dec. 6 she is not criminally responsible due to a mental health condition.
She was ordered to be detained pending a hearing.
