A pedestrian walking along Highway 6/10 south of Owen Sound last night was struck and killed by a vehicle.
Grey Bruce OPP, Intertownship firefighters and Grey County paramedics were called to the incident just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The pedestrian who was struck was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported from the scene.
The OPP say the victim was a 41-year-old local person, but his or her identity won’t be released to respect the family’s privacy.
Highway 6/10 was closed between Story Book Park Road and Grey Road 18, but has since reopened.
“The Grey Bruce OPP with the assistance of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team continue to investigate,” OPP say in a release.
