Huntsville OPP is reporting that 6 cm of snow fell overnight.
Highway 11 is primarily clear but wet and secondary roads are snow covered/slushy. There are no motor vehicle collisions currently and no other notable weather concerns. Minimal snowfall forecasted for today.
The Huntsville and Lake Of Bays area appear to have not experienced the significant accumulation that Bracebridge and Gravenhurst did this past weekend.
The OPP want to thank the public for respecting the snow clearing efforts in the communities and the highways. The fact that there were no collisions as a result of the snowfall speaks to everyone’s attention to their driving.
In the Bracebridge Detachment area, Houseys Rapids Road, Uffington Road, Southwood Road, Beiers Road, and the northbound ramp at Luigi Road are local access only at this time..
The winter weather is here so plan your trip before leaving by visiting the MTO website for road conditions and closures at 511on.ca.
