The investigation into a standoff in Barrie yesterday is ongoing, with a small police presence still on scene in the Bayfield Street and Heather Street area.
Around noon a man barricaded himself in an RV, fired a shot and kept police negotiators busy until 4 this morning. He surrendered and was taken into custody peacefully. There were no injuries.
But Barrie police did find several apparent improvised explosive devices in the RV.
They were safely neutralized.
The 43 year old faces multiple criminal charges.
