The Municipality of Kincardine says that nine candidates are going to be vying for the open Ward 1 seat on council.
The seat was left open after the passing of Councillor Doug Kennedy in August.
The candidates for the position are:
– Christina Bandomir
– Christopher Bianco
– Kevin Fournier
– Melville Scott McPherson
– Jason Munro
– Carole Robertson
– Chandra Shekhar Tripathi
– Stellina Williams
– Scott D. Wilson
Council will hold a special meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th at 5 pm.
At this meeting, each candidate will have a chance to address council, and then a vote will be held in open session.
The new councillor will then swear their Oath of Office and take part in their first official council meeting on November 13th.
The public is invited to watch the meeting, either in council chambers or through their YouTube channel.
