Huron County Council received a report regarding the five-year plan for child care in the region.
The need for a plan is required by the Ministry of Education.
County staff then got to work getting information from feedback sessions with community stakeholders, parents, and child care providers.
The plan identifies six key priorities for the county, which includes expanding services, improving workforce stability and support, enhancing affordability, boosting inclusiveness, strengthening community partnerships, and promoting data-driven decision making.
