Hanover is partnering up with an app to boost local tourism.
Town Economic Development Manager April Marshall says the recent partnership with Driftscape brings Hanover in line with other local municipalities who are using the app to highlight various attractions, businesses and events.
“We recognize Driftscape as a great platform and opportunity for Hanover to showcase our tourism and cultural assets. We saw many of our municipal neighbours participating on this platform, so we saw the value in partnering with that and showcasing the region as a whole, therefore inviting people to come to our area and explore the many things that we have to offer,” says Marshall.
She says where as the town was previously using mapping systems online and sharing links to highlight what was going on in Hanover, they plan to consistently update the information on the app to keep it current with various campaigns.
“The great part about Driftscape is that it brought everything all into one place and it’s very user friendly,” says Marshall.
People who use the app can make use of its interactive maps to visit the town’s top attractions, create a curated tour, and stay updated with the latest events.
“It’s very neat to see how everything has been brought together and is brought to life so that people can really be engaged and experience it,” says Marshall.
The free app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android devices. More details can be found on the Hanover website here.
