Dufferin OPP have arrested a man they say is responsible for a carjacking in Orangeville.
Officers were called on Monday (Sept. 02) afternoon at around 12:15pm.
They say the accused tricked the victim into pulling over to the side of the road by telling them they had something wrong with their tire.
When the driver got out, the suspect jumped in and stole the car.
Police say a 10-year-old child was in the car at the time but managed to jump out before the suspect took off with the vehicle.
A 36-year-old from Orangeville was arrested the next day (Sept. 03) and charged with a list of offences including Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle.
They were also charged with possession drugs and weapons as well.
