The Municipality of Kincardine will be getting some funding through Bruce County’s Child Activity Assistance Program.
Bruce County and Kincardine entered into a partnership, which will provide $5,000 in additional funding that will be available to families.
The purpose of CAAP funding is to help mitigate fees for families that would prevent them from having their children participate in school trips, camps, and extra-curricular activities.
The subsidy is available for dependent children who are under the age of 18 and live at home.
The maximum CAAP funding is $500 per year, per child, and is available to families with gross incomes under $49,466 per year.
More information is available on the County’s Child Activity Assistance Program webpage.
