Residents in the Alpha Street area have been given the okay to return to their homes after a significant natural gas leak in Owen Sound.
An update from the City says Enbridge is on the scene and the leak has been isolated. Repair to the line has begun.
They note, gas services will be restored in select areas throughout the evening.
Electricity that was shut off during the leak has also been restored.
Earlier Monday afternoon, the City said natural Gas customers in approximately 50% of the City would be without gas service for an undetermined length of time. Hydro One was also on scene disconnecting and isolating electrical services in the area.
They say no injuries occurred as a result of the gas leak.
