Bruce County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste collection event this weekend in Teeswater.
The event on Saturday at the Teeswater Public Works facility from 8 a.m. to noon, will allow residents to get rid of any hazardous waste which has been accumulating at home.
Some of the items the event will accept include paints, propane tanks, used oil, batteries, antifreeze, household cleaners, and more. A full list can be found on the Bruce County website here.
Those interested in attending are advised the event will not accept commercial, agricultural or industrial waste, as well as PCB’s, ammo and flares.
Additionally, only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.
The waste must be delivered in containers which can be disposed of, and will not be returned.
