A Blue Mountains man has been charged with assault with a weapon after a workplace incident.
Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP say it happened on Friday afternoon on Poplar Sideroad.
According to police, several people were doing some repair work at the Collingwood Presbyterian Cemetery, and at some point during this work, a man stabbed a coworker with a knife and fled the scene into a wooded area nearby.
Collingwood & The Blue Mountains OPP, with the help of Huronia West OPP arrived at the location and set up containment and, about an hour later, arrested the suspect with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, canine unit and OPP Aviation Services.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor non life-threatening injuries.
A 33 year old Town of the Blue Mountains man is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of escaping lawful custody.
OPP say he was held for a bail hearing on Saturday and will have future court dates at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
