West Grey is entering into a couple of agreements for new housing developments.
Council approved entering into the agreements for the development of a six-unit apartment and a three-unit townhouse, semi-detached and single family lot in Neustadt during a meeting on July 9.
This comes after zoning amendment requests for the properties on David Winkler Parkway and Queen Street/Enoch were made last month.
Additionally, council approved entering into agreements with Candue Homes for a three lot severance on Arthur Street and a five lot severance on Park Street, both in Durham.
Director of Community and Development Services Karl Schipprack says the work will include some form of road infrastructure upgrades or development.
“There is a three lot severance, there is an existing house on the one lot, so then the other two lots would be proposed for new housing, new single-family dwellings,” says Schipprack.
While the developments still need to go through Grey County approval to be constructed, the agreements with West Grey are made to ensure the required water, sewer, stormwater, and other services are properly constructed.
“The agreement would incorporate all the work that is being done and the road allowances among other things on the property as well,” says Schipprack.
