Owen Sound Police say one person was taken to hospital after a collision downtown Wednesday evening.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. on 3rd Avenue West, between 10th and 11th Streets.
Police say a 77-year-old man was driving his car northbound, and then veered into the path of a southbound truck.
According to police, the two vehicles collided head-on in a “low-speed impact.”
“The incident is still under investigation; however, it’s believed the 77-year-old driver suffered a medical event immediately prior to the collision,” Owen Sound Police say.
The 77-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment after being checked out by Grey County paramedics at the scene.
Both vehicles were damaged and had to be towed.
