Northern Bruce Peninsula is going to consider entering into an agreement with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) to access funding.
The agreement with the AMO comes after the association recently announced the renewal of the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCFB) for a period of 10 years.
A report from Treasurer Teresa Shearer says this funding source, which was formerly known as the Federal Gas Tax Fund, has been used by Northern Bruce Peninsula over the past several years for road resurfacing projects.
The funding from the CCFB will be used to finance projects which would otherwise have been postponed as a result of budget constraints.
Council will consider authorizing the agreement with the AMO during its meeting on July 8 at 1 p.m.
