Hospitals in Huron County are partnering with a local research organization to improve healthcare in the region.
Huron Health System (HHS) announced their partnership with the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health, saying the move is meant to improve the well-being of those in the region.
The HHS is comprised of the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich, and the South Huron Hospital, in Exeter.
“Together, we look forward to addressing the unique healthcare challenges faced by rural communities and to making a tangible impact on the quality of care being delivered,” says Jimmy Trieu, President & CEO at Huron Health System.
“This partnership represents a significant step towards achieving our shared goal of equitable access to health care for all.”
In a news release, HHS says the organizations will work together on various initiatives such as cutting-edge healthcare technologies, conducting joint research and launching pilot programs in rural areas.
