Grey Bruce OPP say they have received video footage of a person of interest related to a string of break and enters in Meaford.
Police say on June 23 at 8:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to a break and enter on Albert Street between Thompson Street and Victor Street in Meaford. It is believed the break and enter happened that day sometime between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. About $300 worth of camping supplies was taken.
The following day, police say they received three separate calls for break and enters in the municipality.
At 9:09 a.m., police say a resident on Parker Street West called police to report someone stole a bicycle from their shed, which is valued at $200. The caller has video surveillance, but did not capture the suspect well. It appears the suspect attended the residence on June 23 at midnight.
Later that morning at 10:12 a.m., a resident on Birchwood Court in Meaford called police to report a few bicycles were stolen from their property.
At 12:15 a.m., a resident on Parker Street West also called to report a break and enter.
Police say the last two incidents are still in the early stages of investigation and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
To assist with the investigation, police are asking residents for video footage in the following areas:
-Albert Street between Thompson Street and Victor Street on June 23 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
-Parker Street West on June 23 at midnight
-Birchwood Court before June 24 at 10:12 a.m.
Police say it is important for homeowners to report all break and enters.
