The U15 Creative Playground North Stars jumped out to early leads in both of their games & needed strong defensive work from Cranny, Tran & Stevenson, after late offensive pushes from both St. Catherine’s & KW, to secure a pair of wins. Callie Sarvis, once again, providing important, timely saves for the Stars.
In game one against St. Catherine’s, Doyle was very strong up front & lead the North Stars in scoring. Other scorers were Cooper, Laycock, Barfoot, Seaman & Todd. Shute, Thompson & McCoubrey had strong play off ball, helping create space for the 16 goal outburst. Final score was 16-12.
Game two against KW saw Nissen, McKenna & Todd pop important goals for the North Stars in addition to some smart plays all game from A. Ward. Ally Scott, the human vacuum, continued her impressive work scooping up ground balls which helped prolong much needed ball possession. Additional scoring from game two came from; Copper, Laycock, Seaman & Dolye. The North Stars have a bye weekend & then back at it on July 13th in Oakville.
