Police will be conducting emergency response training at Wingham’s high school.
Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and OPP Crisis Negotiators will be at F.E. Madill High School Friday, which will be closed to students for a P.A. Day.
Training exercises will be conducted, involving high risk situations, including active attackers.
The exercises are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., and conclude at 1:00 p.m..
OPP say the public will notice several emergency response vehicles and personnel in and around the school property and do not need to be alarmed.
