Nearly a week of Pride-filled activities will be taking place throughout Huron County, to kick off Pride Month 2024.
Events for the second annual Huron County Pride Festival begin Tuesday with discussions with members of the LGBTQ+ community in Goderich.
Concerts and burlesque shows will be held in the subsequent days, capped by the formal Huron Pride Festival between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturday, a Pride Walk in Bayfield at 11:00 a.m., and a Pride Faith Service on Sunday.
New to Huron County for Pride Month 2024 is a flag of inclusivity being flown by the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board at two area schools.
Officials say the flying of the flags is meant to acknowledge the students and staff in their system who identify as LGBTQ+.
