The Rotary Huron Shore Run is set to go Saturday in Southampton.
It starts on High Street with a group of half-marathon walkers going first at 7 a.m. followed by other distances with most runners starting at 8 a.m.
There’s also a free kids zone at the Southampton Coliseum Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. It’s part of the Rotary Huron shore run events.
The kids zone will include a bike rodeo, games and button making. Kids can bring their bikes and helmets.
There will be snacks and refreshments from Refresh Smoothies, West Coast Catering and Three Sheets Brewing,
Organizers say prizes and formal recognition will be given to top fundraisers and the top three participants in each age category for all the runs.
Money raised through the run is directed by the Rotary Club to various community organizations including the local hospital foundation, local athletics and regional health care initiatives.
