A Kincardine woman has won a $100,000 prize playing the lottery.
Toni Pendergast won playing Instant Gold Pursuit, after playing the lottery for nearly 20 years. This is her first big win.
While picking up her big cheque at the OLG prize centre in Toronto, Pendergast described the feeling of winning as, “Warm, fuzzy, and kind of like pins and needles. Also, a little numb because it doesn’t feel real.”
She plans to treat herself to a vacation and her mom and grandma to a spa day. Pendergast says the rest will be invested for her future.
The OLG says Instant Gold Pursuit was available for $25 and the top prize is $100,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.19.
The winning ticket was purchased at Farah Market Express on Doon Village Road in Kitchener.
