Police are investigating the theft of a valuable collection of fishing equipment from a cottage on Georgian Bay sometime during the last week.
On May 16, 2024, members of the marine unit of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to investigate a break and enter which occurred at a cottage on Tug Channel of Georgian Bay, near the village of Port Severn. The break and enter occurred sometime between May 9 and 16 and a quantity of fishing equipment meant to catch musky was taken.
Anyone having knowledge of this investigation is asked to contact the OPP.
