Grey Roots Museum and Archives had a big increase in visitors last year.
Staff gave a report to Grey County councillors Thursday, saying the number of visitors and event participants fully rebounded to pre-pandemic levels.
Staff say there were 24,574 visitors through the door in 2023 which they say is an increase of more than 44 per cent over 2022.
Staff say the museum and its volunteers delivered 137 programs, events and exhibits.
They say Moreston Village volunteer staff coverage this year reached its highest levels since 2019.
Highlights included the opening of the Arnott General Store in Moreston Heritage Village and the launch of the Abundance section (which celebrates Grey County’s natural beauty and resources) in an ongoing redesign of the exhibit in the Grey County Gallery.
